last night's show in iowa city was golden. the kind of show that always reminds me how unbelievably fortunate i am to have this as a job. 12 years now, of this touring and doing shows, well over 1,000 of them in the last decade, and concerts like last night have me convinced it's simply the best gig in the world! i was adorned with my wife's stretchy shirt, which gave me a sort of super hero feeling throughout the evening- very nice, and green no less, a color i pretty much never wear. well, let's face it. i wear black and grey and blue jeans. i could use some color shirts. i want to repeat my gratitude to everyone in iowa city. it's been many years now i've been playing that town, and the crowds have always been as good as it gets. warm, loving, bright, wonderful people. i'm on my way to omaha, and i'm killer jazzed about that gig too, word has it my friend Vidyuddeva is going to join us tonight, and do a bit of dharma talkin' as part of the show. i haven't seen him in a week, i miss him already. today i need to make sure i eat. i did not eat yesterday. i still felt great though. i have a pang for some raw carrots. hmm....
