Dream Interpretation

Song Of The Day: Sorta Fairytale / Tori Amos
Word Of The Day: Abderian (adj) / Pertaining to foolish or excessive laughter

Had a wild dream last night. I was in some kind of temple or sacred structure wondering around on my own, and this Tibetan Rinpoche came up to me and indicated he wanted me to follow him. We went into his secret chamber, and then I understood he was a doctor, or healer of some sort. There was a huge fucking Tiger on the table, and I was like "uh, that's DEAD, right?", it was enormous. He said nothing, but reached over the Tiger's corpse and grabbed some bird (a Dove, I believe) from a cloth wrap it was hiding in. He opened up the wrap, and took a razor sharp knife and cut the Dove open, and inserted a surgical instrument, which extracted one drop of vital fluid of some "life essence" from the bird, then he gave it to me and said it was needed to cure my condition, which I believe he called "Ritaken" (phonetically, anyway). End of dream...

Now here's my interpretation of the dream.

The Tibetan Rinpoche represents my wife. Before she married me she was a Shambhala pracititioner in Trungpa's line (Tibetan), and the Rinpoche represents some higher or deeper part of herself which I perceive or feel her to be holding back from me. Tibetan (Vajrayana Buddhism) is also the home of Tantric practice, which is not a sexual practice, but does include sex. I have been struggling with the changes in our sex life since our daughter was born, as so much of our vital energy and life force (especially for the Mother) goes directly into feeding, caring for, and attending to our daughter on a day to day basis. Anyone who's a mother knows how completely draining that is. It's unavoidable it will change the dynamics of your life for a time, sexually and otherwise. The vital fluid extracted from the Dove (the Dove represents the Holy Spirit, or the Divine embodied in form in the World) is the life force that I miss exchanging with my wife after this long period of directing it into our daughter. A drop of that essence would cure me. The dead Tiger is my perception of our Anima / Animus in 1st and 2nd chakra.

Voila! I made that dream my bitch.
