yesterday i was in target, buying a DVD player -mine broke when i tried to watch Caligula and it melted the circuits-, and i reached into to get a diet coke from the cooler by the check out, and noticed there was a NEW DIET COKE. from reading the list of ingredients, the only difference i could notice in this new diet coke from the old one was that this new diet coke had NO ASPARTAME. it uses SPLENDA instead. hmm, i found that very interesting. even though (according to diet coke and all the stuff i've cited in this blog before) aspartame is 'sposed to be safe, i've noticed a stunning, undeniable correlation between my drinking it and having brain seizure-type experiences when falling asleep. no diet coke, no little seizures. lots of diet coke, little seizures. and now they've started making diet coke with Splenda. i bought one, drank it, it was good. i would easily be able to switch over to this new "safe"-not-that-the-other-one-wasn't-safe diet coke, but i mostly find it quite curious they went to the trouble to make this switch. why?

then my friend Eric sent me THIS today... hmm.
