2012

Harvard Square, NYC, D.C. !

Hi Gang-

I hope your holidays were full of love and fun. I got an Atheist for Christmas, which proves petitionary prayer works.

I am back at it having lots of nomadic mischief in 2013 and I want to invite you to the party - get your dancing shoes on! Get your homeopathic dose of debauchery administered! Get your First Aid Kit out! Get on the phone with Centers for Disease control!

I will meet you at the following places at the designated times for uproariously hilarity and equal measures vulnerable sincerity. Let's take our singulars and make a plural !

Yes, Yes, the Midwest Express!

Hello fellow Terrestrials,

Let's be logical. With the onset of winter, my therapist says the most logical place for me to tour is... the Midwest.

Why?

Because I was RAISED there, and my therapist says for me to fully transmute the trauma of my childhood (that I inflicted on others) it's critical I retrace my steps and COVER them so I don't get busted this late in the game.

Pacific Northwest!

Hi Friends!

It's an exciting time to be on tour. As I've travelled far and wide, I've purchased gifts for each of you, selected in airport shops, mammoth malls, and road side trinket trucks. When you come to a show, I will present them with a hug.

You, Steven? I got you a Pony, a Shetlan Pony.

You, Bobby? Well, here's you're BB Gun, go shoot out an eye.

You, Helen? Here's your quilt, sewn from the lost socks of 1,000 driers across the Midwest.

New Orleans!

Hello friends new and old-

The big tour for Music for Mortals continues, and next up is New Orleans! Incredibly excited to be playing as part of Voodoo Fest - my first show here EVER! It's worth a trip, get some friends and join us for a spectacular evening at legendary Studio 3.

By the way, I've been thinking of you. Did I mention...

What do we know about Ohio?

Yes, we know Cleveland Rocks - (but only in the original Ian Hunter version, not the other ones).

But what else?

We KNOW Ohio has such a flare for spectacle that the Cuyahoga River caught on fire. A river on fire! Now that's non-dual. It must have been beautiful.

Thanks to Randy Newman, we know that, and we know what Dayton felt like in 1903.

Dakota Shows!

Hi Friends!

Very, very much touring. Going to lots of new cities I've never been to before, and it is thrilling. Been having a blast so far, and THANK YOU for coming out to these shows! I forgot how fun it can be to be an itinerate bard! Weeee....

So, this weekend I'm off to the Dakotas to play some really wonderful gigs, I hope you can gather your friends together and join me for some of the the fun.

Stuart explores Madison, Minneapolis, and Portland.

Madison, Minneapolis, Portland.

This week of the tour it's all about gorgeous cities with incredible bodies. Of water. This is the kind of routing that proves we should buy a canoe. As an ornament for our huge SAILBOAT, which we will use to explore the rivers, lakes, and oceans of our upcoming concert dates.

Stuart Returns to Place of Birth (and Conception)

Stuart here, saying hi.

I cannot wait to return to Iowa City, the town so great they named a state after it.

Stuart in Duluth

Hi Northern Friends,

I'll be in-studio performing on KUMD 103.3 FM in Duluth Friday July 6. You can listen live from anywhere in the World, not just the great lakes. Even lesser lakes, or the utterly lake-less, can tune in via the net if you're not in Duluth.
